Build Links By Building A Brand
Posted on Jul 19, 2010
Building up one way links is not an easy process especially if you are in a competitive space trying to leave your mark in your industry. Building natural links to your website truly takes a special website in any niche. If you want others to write about you or link to your website it is going to take a bit more than just a mediocre approach and a website covered in Google ads. You have to approach your business like a brand and over time you will get the attention of your audience but it will take time, patience and marketing hat on your head.
Here are a couple of ways to build up your links while building up your brand:
Logo: This isn’t necessarily for building your links but if you want others to eventually link to you have to get a great looking logo others can remember you by over time. Your audience needs to have something to make the connection to.
Press Releases: Find something to announce every few months about your business and write a press release surrounding that specific topic and distribute it online.
Business Profiles: Launch business profiles online surrounding your company name in as many areas as you can find. If you are running a business you need to treat it like a business.
Launch A Blog: Launch a blog on your website and write about lots of different things. Don’t forget to include some things from the office to give it that personal touch. Don’t be scared to write about things going on everyday within the walls of your business.
Launch A YouTube Channel: Launch a YouTube channel and try launching a new video with some frequency. Whether it is every week or every month try doing something that will entice others to link to you.
Be Social: There are many social tools all around us just ready to be used by any business. Starting using them and chatting with your audience. Some of that audience will have their own blogs and eventually people will start to write about you leaving nice links behind.
Be An Expert: Start writing articles about a variety of topics in your industry that can help your industry or those who might be first getting into your industry.
Building a brand online will only help your SEO efforts out in the long run. Remember that everything online works together and some of the best SEO efforts usually have many different gears spinning at the same time. Branding is the driving force too many successful businesses and taking short cuts online does not do anything to help you build your business online for the long haul.
